abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject repellent exhibiting excellent repelling effect over a long period by mixing a base material with a repellent composed of an organic phosphoric acid ester or carbamic acid ester having contact toxicity against land invertebrate such as slug. n CONSTITUTION: A composition of a base material 1 composed of synthetic resin, rubber or pulp is mixed with a repellent 2 (an organic phosphoric acid ester, its derivative, a carbamic acid ester or its derivative having contact toxicity) or the mixture is further mixed with a highly water-absorbing resin 3 to obtain the objective land invertebrate repellent having a solid or liquid form and capable of continuing excellent repelling effect over a long period by slowly bleeding or dissolving the repellent from the mixture. The mixing of a highly water-absorbing resin 3 is effective for the slow and stable bleeding or dissolution of the repellent 2 over a long period.
