titleOfInvention Preparation of fine particle of crosslinked polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain fine particles of a high-modulus crosslinked polymer which are useful as a spacer for liquid-crystal panels and the like, by polymerizing a specific polymerizable monomer in an aqueous medium using a predetermined polymerization initiator. n CONSTITUTION: A polymerizable monomer containing 50wt.% or more crosslinkable monomer (e.g. m-divinylbenzene or ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) is polymerized in an aqueous medium (e.g. aqueous PVA solution) using an organic peroxide free-radical polymerization initiator (e.g. benzoyl peroxide) in an amount of 3-10wt.% based on the amount of the polymerizable monomer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
