titleOfInvention Detergent composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a detergent composition containing a sugar-based nonionic surfactant and a water-soluble chitin derivative and giving low irritation to the skin and excellent springiness, body and voluminous feeling to the hair when used for the shampooing of scalp and hair. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) 5-20wt.% of a sugar- based nonionic surfactant, e.g. an alkyl saccharide surfactant of formula I (R 1 is 6-18C alkyl, alkenyl or alkylphenyl; R 2 is 2-4C alkylene; G is 5-6C reducing sugar; (m) is 0-10; (n) is 0-10) or a sugar-amide surfactant of formula II (R 3 is 5-17C alkyl, alkenyl or alkylphenyl; R 4 is H, 1-18C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; X is polyhydroxyalkyl consisting of 4-30C sugar residue) and (B) 0.001-10wt.% of a water-soluble chitin derivative, e.g. a water-soluble oligomer produced by depolymerizing chitin or chitosan, a water-soluble chitosan having a deacetylation degree of 40-60% or a derivative made to be water-soluble by the introduction of hydrophilic group. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
