abstract PURPOSE: To provide the subject composition composed of a cyclic silicone compound, a carboxylated polyoxyalkylene surfactant, a specified nonionic surfactant, an oil component, a hydrocarbon and water, showing foaming properties and having a mild and refreshed feeling in use. n CONSTITUTION: A cleansing composition having foaming properties, capable of forming a foam layer having 1.8-3.0ml/g apparent density after standing at 35°C for 5min and obtained by blending about 5-20wt.% cyclic silicone compound such as a cyclic polymethylsiloxane of the formula ((m)is 3-7) with about 2-16wt.% carboxylated polyoxyalkylene surfactant (especially preferably polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether alkylcarboxylic acid salt), about 1-8wt.% nonionic surfactant (especially preferably polyoxyalkylenealkyl phenyl ether, etc.) having 4-10 HLB, about 10-40wt.% high-boiling liquid or solid oil component such as glycerol monolaurate, about 5-30wt.% low boiling hydrocarbon such as butane and about 10-30wt.% water. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
