PURPOSE: To obtain an external preparation for skin effective for preventing and ameliorating chapped skin and preventing the sagging of skin and loss of skin luster to prevent the aging of skin by compounding vitamins to an extract of a plant of genus Melissa, family Labiatae. n CONSTITUTION: The objective preparation can be produced by compounding (A) preferably 0.005-15wt.% (based on the whole preparation) of an extract obtained by extracting a plant of genus Melissa, family Labiatae (e.g. melissa) with hot water, polyhydric alcohol, etc., under refluxing and concentrating the extract after filtration and (B) preferably 0.01-5wt.% of one or more kinds of vitamins. The amount of the component B is preferably 1/10 of the extract. The vitamins compounded to the preparation are effective for remarkably promoting the activity of the melissa extract (activities to prevent and ameliorate chapped skin and prevent the sagging of skin and loss of skin luster to prevent the aging of skin) without causing side effects. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
