titleOfInvention Accelerator for curing of phenolic resole resin
abstract PURPOSE: To provide an accelerator that can shorten the curing time of a phenolic resole resin binding composition containing, as a curing agent, for example, magnesium hydroxide or magnesium oxide at room temperature and particularly in a cold climate or under low-temperature conditions. n CONSTITUTION: This curing accelerator is selected from (A) a compound that has a solubility of 1 wt.% or more in water at 25°C and gives anions, such as cyanate anions, formate anions, and hypophosphite anions, to a mixture, (B) a 2,4- or 2,6-di(dialkylacynomethylphenol) having 1-3C alkyl or the like, (C) 1,3,5-tri(1-3C alkyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazone, (D) lithium carbonate, (E) 1,4- diazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane, (F) a chelating agent such as pentan-2,4-dione and heptan-2,4-dione, and (G) a compound of formula I [R 1 and R 2 each represent 1-3C alkyl, X represents formula II (n is an integer of 1 to 6), formula III, etc., and R 3 and R 4 each represent H, 1-3C alkyl, etc.]. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
