titleOfInvention External drug for skin
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an external drug for skin effective in preventing the delay of the cure of wound, chapped skin, wrinkles, sagging and loss of luster of skin caused by aging and the damage, induced by sunlight, and having excellent effect to prevent the aging of skin by compounding a cell growth factor to saikosaponin b 1 etc. n CONSTITUTION: The objective agent can be prepared by compounding (A) a cell growth factor selected from epidermal growth factor, fibroblast growth factor, platelet-derived growth factor and transforming growth factor β to (B) saikosaponin b 1 (R=β-OH) and/or saikosaponin b 2 (R=α-OH) expressed by formula, and exhibiting synergistic effect by the combination with a cell growth factor. The amount of the compound of formula is preferably 0.0001-0.1wt.% (1-1,000ppm) and that of the cell growth factor is preferably 0.00001-0.1wt.% (0.1-1,000ppm) in the total external drug. The agent may be compounded with conventional cosmetic and drug components such as aqueous component and oily component in addition to the above essential components. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
