titleOfInvention Thermosetting resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the title compsn. excellent in impact strength, weatherability, etc., by mixing a polycarboxylic acid, a polyepoxy compd., and a specific alkoxide compd. n CONSTITUTION: A polycarboxylic acid (e.g. maleic acid), a polyepoxy compd. (e.g. a glycidyl acrylate/methyl acrylate copolymer), and a compd. having at least three acetal alkoxy or ketal alkoxy groups of the formula (wherein R 1 is 1-6C alkyl) (e.g. a reaction product of 1,1,3,3-tetramethoxypropane with cyclohexanedimethanol) are mixed to give the title compsn. Since the compsn. gives a cured article contg. almost no unreacted functional group nor functional group generated by cross-linking reaction and having a high cross-link density, it is suitable as an adhesive, a coating material, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
