abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a new fluorine-containing carboxylic acid derivative useful as a reactive raw material for imparting multi-functionality such as excellent water and oil repellency and sliding property to various natural and synthetic polymers and as a fluorine-containing surfactant, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The fluorine-containing carboxylic acid derivative of formula I (n is 2-31; m is 3-62; R is 1-22C alkylene; Q is hydroxy, halogen or 1-22C alkoxy), e.g. the compound of formula II.
