titleOfInvention | Preparation of arylalkylamine and substituted arylalkylamine |
abstract | PURPOSE: To cost effectively and efficiently produce substd. and unsubstd. arylalkylamines (for examples, tyramine and its deriv.) which are pharmacologically and physiologically important drugs. n CONSTITUTION: The substd. or unsubstd. arylalkylketone is brought into reaction with lower alkyl sulfite ester in the presence of hydrogen chloride in a bipolar aprotic solvent and thereafter, the reaction mixture is extracted with the ester or alcohol of the lower alkyl by adding water thereto, by which the extract contg. aryl-α-oxyminoalkylketone is obtd. The extract is converted from the arylalkylketone to the arylalkylamine by hydrogenation using hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst in a nonaq. reaction medium consisting of the greater part of carboxylic acid (for example, acetic acid) and the small part of an inorg. strong acid (for example, sulfuric acid). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO |
