titleOfInvention | Produciton of polyurethane resin wet type synthetic leather |
abstract | PURPOSE: To produce a synthetic leather comprising the porous membrane of a polyurethane resin without employing a support such as a base fabric by coating the solution of the polyurethane resin on a porous mold of a molding device equipped with the porous mold and a pressure-reducing chamber disposed on the back side of the mold, and subsequently wet-coagulating the coated polyurethane resin solution under vacuum. n CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane resin solution [the 24% solution (as the solid content) using dimethyl formaldehyde as a solvent] is coated on the surface of the mold 2 of a molding device comprising a porous mold 2 having a prescribed shape and a vacuum container 6 for forming a vacuum chamber 12 on the back side of the mold to form a polyurethane resin solution membrane 1. While the vacuum chamber is evacuated to ≥30cmHg, the molding device is immersed in a coagulating solution 4 comprising a 10% dimethyl formaldehyde aqueous solution at 30°C to elute and simultaneously distill away the solvent in the polyurethane resin solution coated membrane 1, whereby the polyurethane resin membrane is strongly and tightly adhered to the surface of the mold to provide a synthetic leather free from the warpage, floating and deformation thereof. The method permits to readily produce the products having complicated three-dimensional shapes. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
