abstract PURPOSE: To provide improved sensors and sensing methods for minimizing or obviating effects of interference objects by oxidizing the interference objects before the interference object affects the accuracy in the assay. n CONSTITUTION: A gulcose electrode is coated under the presence of the gulcose with oxidizing enzyme (peroxidase) for oxidizing selectively ascorbic acid, uric acid salt, bilirubin and acetoaminophenol to hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen persoxide can be generated by being added to assay solution or generated in situ. The oxidizing enzyme prevents undesired reduction current from generation in the glucose electrode by preventing the oxidizing enzyme from contact with the glucose electrode or increasing applied voltage. Thus, interference object obviating analysis object sensors and sensing processes prevent erroneous analysis. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
