abstract |
PURPOSE: To provide a new plant extract that is extracted from barks of a plant in Phellodendron family and from defatted seeds of a plant in Croton family and shows excellent anticancer and immuno-potentiating effects practically without toxicity. n CONSTITUTION: Barks of a plant in Phellodendron family (particularly Phellodendron anurense Rupr. is suitable) and defatted seeds of a plant is Croton family (particularly Croton tiglium (L) is suitable) are mixed, preferably at a weight ratio of 1/2-2/1 and treated with an organic solvent to remove the soluble components. Then, the new extract having properties shown in the table is extracted from the resultant mixture with water. This extract is useful as a medicine for treating diseases caused by defects in homeostatis of immune system and neurosecretory system. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO |
