titleOfInvention Manufacture of polyester mirror plate
abstract PURPOSE:To manufacture the above mirror plate having high quality simply at low cost by forming an edge section to a laminate, in which a polyester mirror sheet is disposed and unified with the surface of a base material, and coating the edge section with polyester and abrasive-finishing the edge section. CONSTITUTION:Cast-molded polyester mirror sheets 3 are arranged and unified with both surfaces of a base material 2 such as plywood, a particle board, etc., thus obtaining a mirror laminated plate. The edge sections 4 are cut in a desired shape, and a kerf 5 is formed to the mirror laminated plate. The inside of the kerf 5 is coated and filled with polyester resin paints 6, and the surface of the filled kerf is polished by a level sander, etc., and buffing-finished, thus acquiring a mirror plate, the whole of which is composed of a polyester mirror surface. The polyester mirror sheets 3 can be manufactured through cast-molding, and the polyester mirror sheets 3 and the base material 2 can easily be stuck by using urethane or polyester adhesives in the laminating and unifying of the sheets 3 and the base material 2.
