titleOfInvention Denitrator and production of azide compound-carrying zeolite
abstract PURPOSE: To conveniently and highly efficiently denitrate an NO x -contg. gas by providing a treating vessel through which the gas is passed and arranging a zeolite 5 with the layer of an azide compd. formed on its surface in the vessel. n CONSTITUTION: A treating vessel 1 through which an NO x -contg. gas is passed is provided, and a zeolite 5 with the layer of an azide compd. formed on its surface is arranged in the vessel 1 to constitute the denitrator. In this case, a special synthetic zeolite is not used, sodium azide is deposited on the zeolite 5, and NO x are removed with the zeolite 5. Since a sodium azide crystal is deposited on the zeolite 5 surface, the sodium azide carrying zeolite 5 having a uniform sodium azide layer is easily formed without using an adhesive. Furthermore, as the uniform crystal layer is obtained in this way, NO x are effectively removed, the deposition amt. is increased, and the reactivity is maintained for a long time. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
