titleOfInvention Herbicide composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a herbicide composition containing two kinds of known herbicidal components, having synergistically improved herbicidal effect of each component, effective at a low rate of application and capable of completely controlling annual and perennial weeds at a low rate of application without causing phytotoxicity to corn. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) the compound of formula I and (B) one or more kinds of compounds selected from alachlor, metolachlor and acetochlor of formula II to formula IV. The amount of the component A is 0.001-10 pts.wt., preferably 0.01-1 pt.wt. per 1 pt.wt. of the component B. The herbicidal activity of the composition is not a simple addition but a synergism of the activities of the components. The composition is effective at a low rate of application, i.e., 1g to 1kg/ha of A and 10g to 5kg/ha of B, preferably 10g to 5kg/ha of A and 50g to 3kg/ha of B. Although the composition is effective by the foliar treatment after germination, it is preferable to use the composition by soil treatment before germination. It can be applied to various crops other than corn and other agricultural and horticultural fields and uncultivated field to develop remarkable economic effect. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
