titleOfInvention Refrigerator oil
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a refrigerator oil much improved in sliding characteristics and suitable for use in compression refrigerators using tetrafluorethane as a refrigerant by using a Cl- or ClO-containing polyester oil as a main ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator oil for use in compression refrigerators using tetrafluorethane as a refrigerant, which is composed mainly of a Cl- or ClO- containing polyester oil. Some H atoms of the polyester oil are replaced by Cl atoms. When the oil on a sliding surface has reached a high-pressure state, the Cl atoms are partially liberated and react with the sliding part to form a chloride. The chloride cooperater with a phosphorus high-pressure additive to improve sliding characteristics greatly. The refrigerator oil exhibits particularly improved lubricant characteristics when the compressor is tested on durability and wearing. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
