PURPOSE: To prepare a topical preparation for treating human nails capable of increasing penetration of a therapeutic medicine or a cosmetic material into the nails or through the nails when applying the composition for topically applying the topical preparation for the nail to the nails. n CONSTITUTION: This topical preparation for medically or cosmetically treating human nails includes a sulfur-containing amino acid of the formula [(n) is 1-4; R is H, a 1-12C alkyl or an acyl carboxylatel or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof (preferably N - acetyl-cysteine). The concentration of the N-acetyl cysteine is preferably 1-40% W/V, especially 10-20% W/V in the topical preparation. The topical preparation includes oxiconazole, N-(4-tert-butylbenzyl)-N- methyl-1-naphthylmethylamine, corticosteroid, especially budesonide, pigment, etc. The topical preparation is used in a form of a lotion, a membrane forming lotion, a cream, an ointment, a gel or a pasta. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO |
