PURPOSE: To provide a composition which can mask the mercaptan odor due to free SH group without the need for eliminating such group, for use in sealants for construction, adhesives etc., comprising a mercapto group-contg. compound and a masking agent such as vanillin. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a compound such as a mercapto group-terminated polymer, prepolymer or monomer with (B) normally 0.01-2.00 pts.wt. of at least one kind of masking agent selected from vanillin, lemon oil and ester solvents (e.g. ethyl butyrate, methyl butyrate, isoamyl butyrate, butyl acetate, ethyl acetate, isoamyl isovalerate, ethyl formate, ethyl lactate). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
