titleOfInvention Collagen medical adhesive agent and its application
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive agent which is permeable to nutritive substance essential to medical treatment for a wound or excision by providing an adhesive agent formed of a water solution of natural collagen having a melt index temperature within a specified range. n CONSTITUTION: When a matter is heated by a melt index in the range of 35°C-45°C and above the melt index temperature, it easily flows, has viscosity to be easily handled, and is formed of a water solution of crosslinking collagen adhering to tissues. These characteristics can be attained by controlling the crosslinking density of collagen. The viscosity is controlled to a certain degree by changing the density of total quantity of collagen in a water solution. The concentration is within the range of 5-30wt.%. Thus, it is possible to obtain a matter which has viscosity, adhesiveness, melt index temperature and set temperature and transparency given by mixing of crosslinking collagen and non-crosslinking collagen. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
