abstract |
PURPOSE: To provide a method for enzyme immunoassay of ligand containing urease as a label. n CONSTITUTION: A ligand bonded to urease and the bonded fraction of antiligand are formed on a solid support. The urease component of the bonded fraction is brought into contact with substrate composition for the urease containing compound inverted to ammonia by the urease, tetrazolium salt and pH dependant reducer for reducing the tetrazolium salt when the pH of the assay medium is raised by ammonia. The tetrazolium salt is reduced to colored insoluble formazan, which is precipitated on a membrane as detectable spot.
