abstract PURPOSE: To reduce absorption of a bipiperidium compound into blood flows from the gastrointestinal tract by a cooperating action of an additive when a bipiperidium composition is ingested, thus, reduce oral toxicity of the composition. n CONSTITUTION: This herbicide composition contains a mixed gelating agent (e.g. magnesium silicate) capable of gelating an aqueous solution of salts of paraquat or diquat or their mixture at a pH of human gastric juice and further (1) an emetic agent (e.g. a triazolopyrimidine-based emetic agent), (2) a laxative (e.g. magnesium sulfate) or (3) both of the emetic agent and the laxative. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
