titleOfInvention 17beta-n-monosubstituted adamantyl and norbornanyl carbamoyl-4-aza-5alpha-androsto-1-ene-3-one and androstane-3-one being 5alpha reductase substance
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a new compound for preventing and reducing symptom of high androgen stimuli as testosterone-5α-reductase inhibitor, and being used as remedy such as acne, seborrhea, female hypertrichosis, male alopecia, prostatic hypertrophy. n CONSTITUTION: The compound and its salt or ester of formula II is produced by allowing 17β-(carbomethoxy)-4-aza-5α-androstane-3-one of formula I (R is H, methyl, ethyl) to react with dehydrogenation agent such as benzeneseleninylic anhydride, forming double bond and hydrolyzing 17-carboalkoxy substituent, and after thioesterifying obtained steroid acid, to react with 2-adamantane amine, and then alkylating 4-aza nitrogen by need. In the formula II, R is H, methyl, ethyl; R 2 is a hydrocarbon of (substituted) adamantyl, (substituted) norbornanyl, etc.; dotted line is double bond which may be exsisted. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
