titleOfInvention Cellulose ester film and its production
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a cellulose ester film improved in flame retardancy, dimensional stability, volatilization resistance, migration resistance and mechanical strengths by casting a dope comprising a cellulose ester, a specified plasticizer and a solvent on a support to form a film. n CONSTITUTION: A plasticizer comprising a compound of the formula (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 4 and R 5 are each a hydrocarbyl such as alkyl or aryl; R 3 is alkylene; and (n) is 1-10) is optionally mixed with another plasticizer such as triphenyl phosphate or biphenyl diphenyl phosphate to obtain a plasticizer component (B). 18-35wt.% mixture of a cellulose ester (A) with 5-20wt.%, based on component A, component B is dissolved in a solvent containing 75-87wt.% methylene chloride to obtain a dope. This dope is cast on a support at a surface temperature of 10°C or below to form the title film of a thickness of 10-500μm. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
