abstract PURPOSE: To produce an oil-free standard, fine and microemulsion by a single method by reacting a cyclic siloxane in the presence of a catalyst, an ionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactnat, water, and a catalyst under heating and stirring. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of at least one cyclic siloxane (A), at least one nonionic surfactant (B), at least one ionic surfactant (C), water (D), and a polycondensation catalyst (E) is stirred under heating at the reaction temp. of the siloxane until the whole of the siloxane is substantially reacted. Thus, a stable oil-free polysiloxane microemulsion can be produced by emulsion polymn. without the necessity for mechanical preemulsification. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
