abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a microcapsule, at a low temperature, containing walls composed of the product of an interface polyaddition and/or interface polycondensation reaction between a hydroxyamine and at least one component reactive with amino and alcohol groups. CONSTITUTION: A component which is reactive with amino and alcohol groups (e.g. sebacoyl chloride) is dissolved in a hydrophobic core material (e.g. aromatic hydrocarbons) to be included, the organic phase is emulsionized in an aqueous dispersion medium, and a base and an aqueous solution of a hydroxylammonium salt are added to this type of emulsion to produce microcapsules at a low temperature. The microcapsules are preferentially used for production of non-carbon copying papers and thermal papers.
