abstract |
PURPOSE: To provide an extremely effective process for producing cyclohexyl acetate in a short time and high yield at a low temperature by the addition reaction of cyclohexene with acetic acid. n CONSTITUTION: Cyclohexyl acetate is produced by reacting acetic acid with cyclohexene in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a heteropolyacid composed mainly of a tungsten oxide represented by silicotungstic acid and phosphotungstic acid. The catalytic action can be remarkably improved by adjusting the amount of the ordinary structural water of the heteropolyacid to ≤3mol per 1mol of the heteropolyacid. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
