PURPOSE: To enhance the pigment compatibility of a resin and the corrosion protectiveness of a coated article by using a water dispersible polyurethane resin containing a constitutional unit consisting of polyisocyanates and polyols having a natural drying group. n CONSTITUTION: A water dispersible polyurethane resin containing a constitutional unit consisting of 10-40 wt.% of polyisocyanates (A), 20-60 wt.% of polyols (B) having a natural drying group, according to circumstances, 0-20 wt.% of polyols (C) having no natural drying group, 2-20 wt.% of a compd. (D) having a plurality of groups such as carboxyl groups having reactivity to an isocyanate group and an anion forming group, 0-50 wt.% of monovalent alcohols (E) having a natural drying group and 0-10 wt.% of a compd.
