titleOfInvention Dispersing agent and its preparation
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a dispersing agent which is superior in compatibility, solubility and dispersability with respect to binders by adopting, as its major components, polyisocyanates, a mixture of monohydroxy compounds or the like, and a reaction product of a basic cyclic nitrogen and a compound having an isocyanate-reactive group. n CONSTITUTION: The dispersing agent is obtained from (A) one or more polyisocyanates having an average functionality of 2.0 to 5, (B) a mixture of a monohydroxy compound (B 1 ) and a monohydroxy-monocarboxylic acid compound or a monoaminocarboxylic acid compound (B 2 ) and (C) a reaction product or its salt of a compound having at least one basic ring-nitrogen and an isocyanate-reactive group, in which about 30 to 70% of the isocyanate group is reacted with (B) and about 30 to 70% is reacted with (C). This dispersing agent exhibits a good compatibility with alkyd resins and oil-free-polyester resins for example, superior solubility and superior dispersibility for various pigments which are difficult to be stabilized. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
