titleOfInvention Anionic polymerization catalyst composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an anionic polymn. catalyst compsn. suitable for the synthesis of a conjugated diene polymer having a high 1,4-trans-dienyl content, by combining an organolithium compd., alcoholate or thiolate of a specified alkaline earth element and a trialkyl aluminum compd. n CONSTITUTION: The anionic polymn. catalyst compsn. contains an organolithium compd. (a) alcoholate or thiolate (b) and a trialkyl aluminum compd. having at least 13 carbon atoms per one molecule (C). In order to prepare a 1,3-butadiene polymer having high catalytic activity and a high 1,4-trans-butadienyl content, in the catalyst compsn., a mol ratio of barium, strontium or calcium metal/ aluminum metal is adjusted to about 1:2 to 1:6 and a mol ratio of lithium metal/ aluminum metal is adjusted to about 0.8:1 to 1.2:1. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
