titleOfInvention Optical image forming material
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a yellow optical image forming material hardly causing fog before use, ensuring high density of a color image and having superior stability by forming a layer contg. a reducing agent and microcapsules contg. a xanthene compd. having alkoxy groups at specified positions and a photooxidizing agent on a substrate. n CONSTITUTION: When a coating layer contg. at least a reducing agent and microcapsules contg. a leuco dye capable of developing a color by oxidation and a photooxidizing agent is formed on a substrate to obtain an optical image forming material, a xanthene compd. having alkoxy groups at the 3- and 6- positions, preferably a xanthene compd. represented by the formula is used as the leuco dye. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is alkyl or aralkyl, each of R3 and R4 is H, alkyl, aryl, substd. carbonyl or substd. sulfonyl and a phenyl group at the 9-position of the xanthene ring may have a substituent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
