abstract PURPOSE: To produce the title compound useful as an intermediate for triazine- based herbicides in high yield by reacting a phenolic compound with an aziridine compound under pressure in a specific temperature range. n CONSTITUTION: A phenolic compound shown by formula I (X is 1-4C alkyl; n is 0, 1 or 2) is reacted with an aziridine compound shown by formula II (R 1 and R 2 are H or 1-3C alkyl) under pressure (preferably about 1-15kg/cm 2 G) at 100-250°C (especially preferably about 150-200°C) to give a phenoxyalkylamine derivative [e.g. 1-(3,5-xylenoxy)-2--propylamine] shown by formula III. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
