abstract | PURPOSE: To measure the crosstalk of a single wavelength by providing a spectroscope having a light chopper and an incident slit, and moving a multi-element infrared detector in a direction perpendicular to the spectral direction at a projecting port of the spectroscope. n CONSTITUTION: The radiation light from a carbon dioxide gas laser 1 passes through an incident slit 2. While the infrared beams are intermittently cut by a light chopper 3, the radiation light is guided to a spectroscope 4. At this time, the slit, 2 is aligned beforehand to a using multi-element infrared detector 8. The detector 8 as well as the spectroscope 4 can be moved in the spectral direction and a direction perpendicular to the spectral direction at a projecting port of tone spectroscope. Accordingly, infrared rays of a single wavelength are radiated in combination of a monochromic light source and tone spectroscope 4. A slit image of the same size as that of one element can be formed by the size of the slit. 2. Moreover, the chopper 3 is able to catch up with the output of the detector 8 generated by the change of the infrared rays, and the change of the wavelength can be handled by moving the detector 9 by means of tone moving mechanism 8.
