abstract PURPOSE: To improve the bonding of a polyarylene sulfide resin with polyvinylidene fluoride, mechanical strength, toughness, etc., by incorporating a polyarylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride and a specified copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: A copolymer (C) is obtd. by copolymerizing an α-olefin (a) (e.g. ethylene) with an α,β-unsatd. aliph. carboxylate (b) selected from glycidyl (meth)acrylate and glycidyl ethacrylate. The title compsn. is obtd. by compounding a polyarylene sulfide (A) (e.g. polyphenylenesulfide), 5-45vol.% polyvinylidene fluoride (B) based on 100vol.% sum of the components A and B and 5-35vol.% component C based on 100vol.% sum of the components A-C. When a molded item of a polyarylene sulfide resin is bonded to a molded item of a polyvinylidene fluoride resin, the above compsn. is used as an adhesive and bonding is performed by melting at the m.p. of the component A or higher and 400°C or lower. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
