abstract | PURPOSE: To allow the utilization as the inside surface and outside surface of medical treatment implement by introducing a functional group by plasma- initiated graft polymn. into the surface of a base material, bringing this functional group and a compd. having 2 or more isocyanate groups into reaction and further, bringing the isocyanate groups and a hydrophilic copolymer into reaction. n CONSTITUTION: An EVA sheet is set by using a jig 11 in a reaction vessel. The inside of the system is kept at about 0.1Torr under the flow of gaseous Ar. High-frequency plasma is generated and the vapor of methacrylic acid is introduced into the reaction vessel 1 to introduce the functional group into the sheet surface by the plasma-initiated graft polymn. The sheet is then immersed in a 4, 4'-diphenyl methane isocyanate(MDI) soln. and is dried. The sheet is thereafter immersed in a half ethyl ester soln. of a methyl vinyl ether/ maleic anhydride copolymer and is dried, by which the sheet is coated with a hydrophilic copolymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
