titleOfInvention Catalyst for hydrogenation of aromatic amines and production of cyclohexylamines
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst having high activity and selectivity to the hydrogenation of arom. amines by supporting ruthenium on cobalt hydroxide and/or cobalt oxide hydrate as a carrier. n CONSTITUTION: Cobalt hydroxide and/or cobalt oxide hydrate precipitated from an aq. soln. contg. cobalt hydroxide or cobalt oxide hydrate and cobalt with alkali is used as a carrier and ruthenium is supported on this carrier. The supported ruthenium sticks to the cobalt hydroxide carrier in the form of ruthenium hydroxide. The resulting catalyst has high activity and selectivity to the hydrogenation of arom. amines and is used in the production of cyclohexylamines. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
