abstract PURPOSE: To improve the compatibility with a sol PVC, gelation effect, resistance to extraction by an oil, etc., by condensing an alkylenedicarboxylic acid, an alkylene glycol, and a benzenemonocarboxylic acid to give a product with a specific structural formula. n CONSTITUTION: A 2-8C alkylenedicarboxylic acid (e.g. adipic acid), a 2-6C alkylene glycol (e.g. 1,2-propylene glycol), and a benzenemonocarboxylic acid (e.g. benzoic acid) are condensed to give the title plasticizer having an average mol.wt. of 300-1500 and comprising compds. of the formula (wherein B is a residue of the monocarboxylic acid; G is a residue of the glycol; A is a residue of the dicarboxylic acid; and (n) is 0 or higher provided that the compd. contains less than 50wt.% the compd. with (n) equal to 0 and more than 50wt.% the compds. with (n) equal to 1 or higher). 1-150 pts.wt. the plasticizer is compounded with 100 pts.wt. sol PVC, prepd. by emulsion polymn. or microsuspension polymn., to give the title compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
