titleOfInvention Work-up of aqueous mother liquor containing hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and its hydroxyl-ammonium salt and ammonium salt
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a cyclohexanone oxime-containing cyclohexanone solution free from chlorides, by reacting the subject aqueous mother liquor with cyclohexanone under a specific pH, separating a cyclohexanone layer, and washing the same with water. n CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen chloride gas is introduced into an aqueous solution of hydroxylammonium sulfate of high concentration, and hydroxylammonium chloride crystal is precipitated by cooling and separated from the mother liquor. Then the aqueous mother liquor containing hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and their hydroxylammonium and ammonium salts, is mixed with cyclohexanone 2-5 molar times of the hydroxyl ammonium salt and caustic alkali to be reacted at 15 to 60°C while maintaining pH of from 3 to 5.5, preferably from 4 to 5, and a cyclohexanone layer is separated and washed with water until becoming essentially free of chloride, whereby the cyclohexanone oxime-containing cyclohexanone solution is prepared. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
