titleOfInvention Manufacture of instrument panel
abstract PURPOSE:To enable an opening part to be defined without deteriorating the complete accuracy by defining an opening part inclined relative to the surface of an instrument panel, simultaneously, forming the core material in a predetermined cutting part into surface intersection and thin wall thickness with respect to the cutting direction, and then cutting it along the direction intersectional to the surface of a predetermined cutting part. CONSTITUTION:An integral molding 10 of a foaming material constituting an instrument panel is formed with a core material 12, a skin 14, and a foaming material layer 16, and a predetermined part of the cutting that defines an opening part on the core material 12 has a surface-intersectional part relative to each cutting direction A, B indicated by broken lines, and the wall thickness of which is made thinner than the other part of the core material 12. When it is cut along each A, B direction by means of hot cutters, the occurrence of the core material 12 in the shifted direction can be prevented by the component forces of cutting loads, and in the case of employing water jet herein, the dispersion of the water pressure forces can be avoided, so that an opening part 18 can be defined by small cutting forces without deteriorating a complete accuracy of the cutting surface.
