abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title compsn. excellent in heat resistance, flexibility, and crack resistance by compounding an epoxy resin with a curing agent comprising a specific polyallylphenol and a flexibilizer comprising a silicone-modified epoxy resin. n CONSTITUTION: The title compsn. contains an epoxy resin, a curing agent comprising a polyallylphenol having at least two allylphenol units of formula III in the molecule, and a flexibilizer comprising a silicone-modified epoxy resin. The use of a polyallylphenol of formula I or II (wherein n is 1-4) as the curing agent gives good results.
