titleOfInvention Microlens and manufacture thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent spread of the skirt of photosensitizing resin thermally fused during heating by a method wherein a thermally fused microlens material is prepared according to a different in wetness produced between a part where a microlens is formed and a part where it is not formed. n CONSTITUTION: When forming treatment is effected under oxygen plasma, a part 14 where photosensitizing resin is located is brought into a hydrophilic state by means of oxygen plasma 16. When hydrophilic treatment is applied on the photosensitizing resin, affinity with the photosensitizing resin is reduced. As a result, in thermally fused hydrophilic resin 13, compared with wetting of a part 15 where the photosensitizing resin is formed, wetting of a part 14 where the photosensitizing resin 13 is not formed is lowered. Namely, when the photosensitizing resin 13 is fused by heating, a spot where wetting is reduced is formed in the part of the skirt of a microlens, whereby the skirt of the thermally fused photosensitizing resin is prevented from spreading. This constitution and method provide a high-precise microlens 17. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
