titleOfInvention Diphenylamine compound and electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the same
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a diphenylamine compound which is improved in compatibility with an affinity for a binder and charge transport function, and hence can provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is improved in sensitivity, chargeability, electrophotographic characteristics and endurance to fatigue caused by repeated use by specifying the structure. n CONSTITUTION: An aldehyde compound of formula I [wherein Ar 1 and Ar 2 , which may combine with each other to form a ring, each represent an (un) substituted alkyl group, an (un)substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or an (un)substituted aromatic heterocyclic group; X represents H or halogen; R 1 to R 5 each represent X, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group; and R 6 represents Ar 1 or an (un)substituted aralkyl group] and a hydrazine compound of formula II (wherein Ar 3 and Ar 4 are the same as Ar 1 and Ar 2 ) are subjected to a condensation reaction in a solvent in the presence of a catalyst, thereby a diphenylamine compound of formula III is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
