abstract |
PURPOSE: To prepare a highly stabilized thermoplastic resin compsn. by compounding a resin compsn. comprising polyphenylene ether and a alkenylarom. elastomer with a specific sulfur stabilizer and a specific phenol stabilizer. n CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. mixture comprising 10-100wt.% polyphenylene ether (a), 0-90wt.% alkenylarom. resin (b), and 0-90wt.% crystalline thermoplastic resin (c) (e.g. polyamide) in a wt. ratio of the sum of (a) and (b) to the sum of (a), (b), and (c) of 10wt.% or higher is compounded with 1-50 pts.wt. alkenylarom. elastomer (e.g. a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer) and a stabilizer component comprising 0.01-5 pts.wt. sulfur compd. of formula I and 0.01-5 pts.wt. phenol compd. selected from the group consisting of compds. of formulas II to V in a wt. ratio of the sulfur compd. to the phenol compd. of 1/0.1-1/5, giving a heat-resistance thermoplastic resin compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
