titleOfInvention Production of conjugated diene polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a conjugated diene polymer having a high cis 1,4 bond content and a narrow molecular weight distribution in high yields by polymerizing a conjugated diene by bulk polymerization or solution polymerization in a hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of a specified combined catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: A double salt compound comprising a rare earth metal, an organic phosphoric acid compound (e.g. dibutyl phosphate) and another organic acid compound (e.g. ethylhexanoic acid) and represented by the formula LnA 1 B 2 or LnA 2 B 1 (wherein Ln is a rare earth metal; A is the acid group of an organic phosphoric acid compound; and B is the acid group of an organic acid compound other than the organic phosphoric acid compound) is prepared. A conjugated diene (e.g. butadiene) is polymerized in bulk or in solution in a hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of a combined catalyst comprising the above double salt compound, an organoaluminum compound (e.g. trimethylaluminum) and a halogenated Lewis acid compound (e.g. methylaluminum dibromide) to obtain the conjugated diene polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
