titleOfInvention Decorating method of tree-plant leaf pattern to wood
abstract PURPOSE: To emboss a tree-plant leaf form an wood by conta00ct-bonding the leaves of trees and plants with wood, transferring the components of the leaves of trees and plants into wood and treating wood by metallic salt. n CONSTITUTION: The leaves of trees and plants are not limited particularly, but deciduous trees and broadleaf trees such as a Japanese maple, a maple tree, a 'keyaki', a Japanese beech, a cherry tree, a Japanese linden, etc. are used as the leaves of trees and plants capable of embossed most distinctly. Since wood itself is color-developed by metallic salt in wood containing a quantity of tannin content as wood for decorating, wood having few color- developing components such as a Japanese linden fancy veneer is suitable normally. Distinct ness is improved by sufficiently removing color-developing components by boiling water under the state of the fancy veneer in wood having a quantity of tannin. Pressure of at least five atmospheric pressure or more is applied as the conditions of contact bond with wood, but forty or fifty atmospheric pressure is applied normally. Normal temperature may be used as a temperature, but the transition of the components is enhanced with the elevation of the temperature. The components are transferred sufficiently for approximately 10 min. at 100°C at forty atmospheric pressure. Metallic salt which has been employed can be used as the color-developed metallic salt. Wood is dipped in a ferrous sulfate solution or coated with the solution, left to stand for approximately 1 hr and washed sufficiently by water and removed as the example of treatment. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
