titleOfInvention Treatment of polyester yarn
abstract PURPOSE: To improve adhesiveness to a matrix such as rubber or resin by irradiating a polyester yarn with ultraviolet pulse laser beam having a specific wavelength followed by treating with RFL. n CONSTITUTION: Polyester yarn, especially yarn comprising a repeating unit shown by the formula ((n) is 2-6) as a main constituent component, is irradiated with ultraviolet pulse laser beam having ≤380nm wavelength to form a fine uneven shape on the surface of yarn or to chemically change the surface. Then the yarn is treated with RFL(resorcin formalin rubber latex) to extremely improve adhesiveness (peeling strength) to a matrix such as rubber or resin. A polyester comprising ethylene glycol and tetramethylene glycol as a main glycol component is preferable as the polyester. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
