abstract PURPOSE:To effectively remove odor of vitamin B1s by mixing vitamin B1s with an extract of a yellow-green plant body, mainly vegetables, especially bamboos and bamboo grasses by alcohols or aqueous solution thereof. CONSTITUTION:Fish-like smell of vitamin B1s is effectively removed by mixing vitamin B1s with an extract of yellow-green plant body by alcohols or aqueous solution thereof. Especially extract of bamboo or bamboo grasses with alcohols or aqueous solution thereof is effective. Cetyl or lauryl sulfuric acid salt of vitamin B1 is useful in vitamin B1s, because odor is removed thereby and the sulfate has antimicrobial force. The above-mentioned method is safe as a food and excellent.
