NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I (R is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an alkoxy, a cycloalkyl, an aryl, an arylcarbonyl, heterocyclyl or heterocyclyloxy; R 1 is H, an alkyl, phenyl, benzyl or a cycloalkyl; R 2 is H or an alkyl; one of W and X is CH 2 , CH 2 CH 2 or O and the other is CH 2 or CH 2 CH 2 , or X is a single bond; (m) is 0 or 1; (n) is 0-3) and its acid addition salt or a metal salt complex. n EXAMPLE: N-2'-(3-Thienyl)ethyl-3-phenylmethylpiperidine. n USE: A fungicides. n PROCESS: A compound of formula II or its acid addition salt is reacted with a compound of the formula Y-Z [when P is CH 2 R 1 or CH 2 CH 2 R 1 and Q is H, then Y is (CO) m (CH 2 ) n R, or when P is OH and Q is (CO) m (CH 2 ) n R, then Y is R 1 ; Z is a halogen] in the presence of a base to give the compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO |
