titleOfInvention Fiber rope
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber rope having improved abrasion resistance and flexural durability by treating a rope with a treating agent having a specific composition composed of a polyurethane, ethylene oxide, a fluororesin and an ethylene urea compound. n CONSTITUTION: A fiber rope having excellent abrasion resistance can be produced by treating a synthetic fiber rope with a treating agent consisting of an aqueous dispersion produced by compounding (A) a polyurethane, (B) ethylene oxide, (C) a fluororesin and (D) an ethylene urea compound at weight ratios of A/(A+B+C+D)=0.34-0.7, B/(A+B+C+D)=0.24-0.6, C/(A+B+C+D)=0.03-0.2 and D/(A+B+C+D)=0.02-0.15. For example, the component A is a polymer derived from a polycarbonate polyol and an aliphatic polyisocyanate, the component B is a compound having a molecular weight of 1,000-7,000, the component C is a fluororesin such as trifluororesin or tetrafluororesin and (D) is an ethylene urea compound of formula (R is aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon group; n is 0, 1 or 2; the terminal is H when n is 0). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
