titleOfInvention Treatment of synthetic fiber
abstract PURPOSE: To improve the adhesiveness of a synthetic fiber especially to urethane resin, etc., by applying a specific polyepoxide compound to an undrawn polyester fiber, etc., drawing and heat-setting the fiber, applying a specific polyallylamine compound to the obtained drawn fiber and heat-treating the product. n CONSTITUTION: A synthetic fiber for reinforcement having improved adhesiveness to general-purpose resins, especially a polyurethane resin, halogen-containing vinyl resin, etc., and exhibiting little discoloration with time is produced by applying an aliphatic polyepoxide compound having ≥2 epoxy groups in a molecule to an undrawn yarn of a synthetic polyester fiber or aromatic polyamide fiber, drawing and heat-setting the treated yarn, applying a polyallylamine compound having the principal skeleton of formula to the obtained drawn yarn and heat-treating the product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
